Marie Lavoie
Patient Experience Co-Ordinator
Marie brings over a decade of customer service and administrative experience in fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare settings. Most recently, she worked as Senior Client Coordinator at Therapy X Clinic in Vancouver and regularly stepped in as Acting Office Manager at MSK Health and Performance Clinic.
She also brings a unique background in language and communication. With a TESOL Certificate and a BA in Asian Area Studies from UBC, Marie has a strong foundation in empathetic communication and teaching theory—skills that inform her work with both patients and therapists. Her attention to detail shows in the documents, scripts, and training materials she’s created throughout her career. Marie strives to deliver exceptional patient care and create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and supported.
Marie has also volunteered her time in community and cultural spaces, including aiding guests at the Museum of Anthropology (MOA) at UBC information desk and chaperoning Timberline Secondary Outdoor Club’s 4-day May-long canoe trip on Quadra Island for two consecutive years.
Born and raised on the island, she enjoys hiking coastal trails, camping, drawing, finding quiet moments with a good cup of coffee and dancing whenever there's a chance.
