K. Danielle Lapointe
Registered Physiotherapist, BSc.PT (Locum Physiotherapist)
Danielle is a Registered Physiotherapist with over 23 years of experience and a lifelong passion for human anatomy and movement. Her journey began at the University of Victoria, where a serendipitous human anatomy course sparked her fascination with the musculoskeletal system. After completing a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1996 and spending several years travelling, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of British Columbia in 2002.
Danielle’s treatment approach is grounded in thorough assessment, patient education, and hands-on therapy combined with personalized home exercise programs. She enjoys empowering patients to better understand their bodies and recover function through practical, evidence-informed care.
Her clinical interests include complex pelvic and low back dysfunction, pelvic pain (including coccyx, sexual, menstrual, peri-menopausal, and pregnancy-related pain), incontinence, prolapse, and constipation. Danielle also has a special interest in upper cervical dysfunction and headaches and has recently completed a research-based Master’s degree focused on ligamentous assessment of the upper neck.
Danielle has worked extensively in rural and remote communities, including 12 years running her own private practice in Gold River and the past decade practicing in Gisborne, New Zealand. She is a licensed Physiotherapist in Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. Now based in Campbell River after a recent European adventure, Danielle brings a global perspective and deep clinical experience to her practice. Outside the clinic, she enjoys yoga, hiking, mountain biking, gardening, and planning her next journey.
