Balance & Bones is a comprehensive fall prevention and strength program for those age 70+ designed to reduce risk of falls, maintain bone health (prevent osteoporosis) and prolong independence for the aging population. Exercises will focus on balance and strength. Enjoy a small class size- maximum 6 participants.

What is Balance and Bones?

2023 Clinical Practice Guidelines for Management of Osteoporosis and Fracture Prevention in Canada Recommendations:

→ Balance and functional training > twice weekly to reduce the risk of falls. → Progressive resistance training > twice weekly including back extensor and abdominal muscles. → A variety of types of physical activity (150 minutes or more of moderate to vigorous physical activity per week) AND balance, functional and strength training.
