Julie Harrison
MBCAK Kinesiologist, Group Class Instructor
Julie completed her Bachelor of Sport and Fitness Leadership with a Specialization in Exercise and Wellness in 2018, at Camosun College in Victoria. During her education, she did internships in cardiac rehab, and adapted strength and conditioning. Julie is a Practicing Kinesiologist with BCAK and a Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist with CSEP.
Julie has worked in oncology providing education, exercise guidance, group classes and personalized exercise programs to individuals with a cancer diagnosis. In 2021 she moved up island from Victoria to work in private practice and you will also find her at a Comox physio clinic. Julie is a big believer in encouraging sustainable behaviour change and making exercise a key component of a healthy lifestyle. She approaches patient care with kind, empathetic understanding, meeting individuals “where they are at” and encouraging them to move forwards towards their goals.
Julie was born and raised in the Comox Valley. She enjoys the island lifestyle of hiking, camping, backpacking, snowboarding, paddle boarding, running, and driving her Dad’s boat as fast as it goes.
