Our programs are based on the latest running research and are designed to avoid injury, the #1 reason running programs fail!

 

Developed by a Kinesiologist, our ever-popular running programs are offered each spring and provide a safe and easy introduction to the sport of running with a 12-week gradual progression. We offer a "Learn to Run 5km" and a "Progress to 10km" option. 

 

Programs include:

  • running-specific warm-up and cool-down (the things you never do on your own!)
  • running-specific strength exercises prior to each run (strengthening helps prevent injury while increasing running volume!)
  • weekly education on topics including: running form/technique, proper warm ups/stretches, rest vs. recovery, and more (including guest speakers!) throughout the programs

 

Runs will take place on the road or seawalk, and in the Beaver Lodge Lands trails. Learn new trails in a group environment and prepare yourself for any upcoming race, whether road or trail!
